You See My Movie

The Goldon Globes are set to be announced on Thursday and that got me thinking about the best of 2006. That event, and the emails from Phoff, are enough to get the "lists" going.

The following are an example of some critics list for film in 2006.

Two observations. One, Borat maybe the most overhyped movie of the year. There were some funny parts, but it could have been done in less than an hour. It was interesting, but please dont insult actors by naming Ali G as the best.

Two, it is almost criminal that 99.9 percent of North American viewing audiences have not had a chance to view some of the films or performances.

This post will serve as advance notice that Top 10 Discs and Films will be posted this weekend. Guest submissions will be welcome and, as always, criticism will be served.

Comments:
I haven't even gotten hold of 10 albums this year. I've put off buying them because they are a waste of money and I can't afford to waste money anymore.

That being said, I have gotten a few and will review what I got.

As for movies, I'll agree that suggesting that Cohen is an actor is ridiculous.

Almost as ridiculous as Denzel Washington winning it.

Thanks for the list of lists. I was looking for this information all on one page.

I've already started writing up lists for best of 2007. You can never start too soon.
