Mush

The University of Saskatchewan Huskies defeated the Ottawa Gee-Gee's 35-28 in the Mitchell Bowl to advance to the Vanier Cup in Saskatoon. It is fair to say that Saskatoon will be partying from Sunday till Saturday. The city will not have partied this hard since Kim Mitchell played to sold-out crowds at the Pat or Trooper hit Esmeralda’s.

Windpants, golf shirts and fanny packs will be out in full force as the Dog's face The Laval Rouge et Or in a rematch of the 2005 Cup.

FYI - The Huskies Men's Hockey team took 2 games from Alberta this weekend to send a message that they will not go quietly.

Comments:
I was at the game the Huskies defence played really well and got some key turnovers, but the offense will have to show more production. If the Huskies can get that many fans out to Ottawa, it will be incredible how much support they have at home.

It's going to be a freakin' gong show at Griffiths.

And I can't make it because of an engagement dinner on Saturday night.

On the plus side, Prairie Boy can't make it either for the same reason.

I'm going with a few friends to watch it at Bob the Fish. It's on at noon, I believe, or thereabouts. You're welcome to come along. We'll have plenty of time to go to dinner afterwards.

We just can't drive to Saskatoon to do watch it, is all.
