Comments:
Well, I can't disagree too much on many of your picks, but i will try.

Eastern Conference
1.Carolina - because they are in a weak division

2.NY Rangers - Jagr and his mates will proovide enough offense and I like Lundqvist

3.Buffalo - speed at forward, competant defence, and an extra goalie as a trade asset.

4.Ottawa - will miss Chara lots and Havlat some, and their Martin is Gerber not Brodeur

5.New Jersey - same old solid team with elite goaltending

6.Montreal - speed and balanced with depth at goal.

7.Philly - d-men too slow, Hitchcock been their too long

8. Atlanta - will be scary to draw in playoffs as goaltender could get hot and Hossa and Kovelchuk can score enough to get past the first round.

9.Toronto - not as bad as most think

10.Boston - Chara will be huge their (like 6'9").

11.T-Bay - Totterelli has overstayed his welcome.

12.Pitts - Youth and gusto here, only thing holding them back is Therrien.

13.FLA. - Maybe they can convince Wendel Clark and Rick Vaive to come out of retirement.

14.NY Isle - What a shame

15.Washington - they will hand this spot off to the Islanders next year.

Western Conference

1.San Jose - because they are better than Anaheim,

2.Calgary - great team - but not championship worthy, unless they can get a true number 1 center.

3.Detroit - they have a good mix and won't go quietly

4.Anaheim - Sellane and MacDonald aren't going to win you a President's trophy

5.Nashville - strong team but not yet elite

6.Dallas - Lindros will have his best year since Stevens introduced his shoulder to Eric's face

7.Minny - more offence equals playoff spot and spells trouble for whoever draws them

8.Phoenix - not crazy about Cujo but improved defence translates to playoffs

9.Vancouver - even the heroics of Loungo aren't enough

10.Edmonton - was the worst team ever to play in the finals last year, will miss Pronger badly

11.Colorado - poor Joe

12.Columbus - not enough their, goodbye Gallant

13.L.A. - further away than last year

14.Chicago - they are Atlanta from 2 or 3 years ago, for the first time in a while there is a future in Chicago

15.St. Louis - garbage
