Go gently into the good night

Hat tip to Ed Broadbent for his excellent years of service to Canadians. He has indicated that he will not seek re-election due to the failing health of his wife. Broadbent was a Member of Parliament for 21 years, and leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada from 1975 to 1989. I may not have always agreed with his positions, but I knew where he stood. Plus, he always conducted himself with grace and class.
