David Ahenakew update
One of Canada's greatest journalists / authors wrote a fantastic piece in the Post on Saturday. Peter C. Newman is calling on all Order of Canada recipients to start a campaign to force the Order to remove Mr. Ahenakew, like they removed Alan Eagleson in 1998. This is long overdue.
Newman, ironically, got his OCC at the same ceremony that Ahenakew got his at. Barbara Kay and Newman are suggesting that those who have the OCC pin don't worry until Ahenakew is removed and that emails be sent to his account - petercnewman@yahoo.com - he didn’t encourage non-recipients, but it was worth a mention.
