Election 2006 Polls

There is one particular poll that I am paying attention to during this election campaign since I believe it is the most accurate. CPAC - SES are running nightly polling result (a rolling three day average) and Nikita Nanos seems to have established the best way to gauge voter support. The Liberals are polling extremely high in Atlantic Canada and Ontario and that maybe a sign of things to come.

The Liberals appear to be scoring points with their childcare announcement; while the Conservatives seem to be shoring up their base with theirs.

The Conservative GST proposal is receiving lukewarm acceptence. Those who actually can count know that a reduction on income taxes is the way to go.

The NDP taxplan, or lack there of, is getting the deserved attention - none.

I will be interested to see how the Liberal announcement on the banning of all handguns plays out in the next few nights.

Comments:
The libs handgun announcement is out and they have a great plan to keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizen but what is their plan is to keep guns out of the hands of criminals?

Anyone gullible enough to believe the libs plan will do anything only need to look at Britain or Austria. They banned guns and gun crimes when up. Which only makes sense because criminals by definition ignore laws.

And due to the liberals announcement I have to go out and buy an illegal handgun. I don't need it but that's what you do when the government makes dumb laws, you oppose them.

Something no politician can say in Canada is that concealed gun permits to law abiding citizens reduce crime. If a criminal is unsure if you are armed, he will leave you alone.
